he architectural design of the Beijing Workers' Gymnasium is quite distinctive. When initially constructed, it employed the then world-advanced wheel-spoke double-layer suspension structure with a span of 94 meters, which was renowned as the "classic Gongti structure." The venue overall presents a circular form, embodying solemnity and elegance. The core guiding principle for its subsequent renovation was "traditional appearance, modern venue." This meant the project maximized the preservation of Gongti's historic elements, such as its solemn and classic elliptical facade, characteristic window frame components, and landmark sculptures. Meanwhile, the interior was transformed into a brand-new, modern facility meeting top international standards.
