The earth-toned UHPC makes the building seem to blend into the environment, as if the local Tibetans collected stones from the site and constructed the dry-stacked stone wall facade with their own masonry techniques. This creates a unique and harmonious integration of the building with its surroundings. In this project, 35mm thick lychee-textured UHPC was used, not only for its excellent mechanical properties but also because its material texture resonates with nature and local dwellings. This helps abstract the material and formal characteristics of regional architecture, expressing a rugged architectural image through structurally logical construction.
